We are introducing the actions for: First, Next and After that.
Please ask your child to practise these actions to go with the words.

Spring Term - January 2021
Due to now working alongside Year 1, we will now be learning the story of ‘The 3 Billy Goats Gruff.’
You will find Mrs Burgess telling the story on the Year 1 Remote Learning page.
We will learn to tell the story orally and begin to create our own story maps. We will encourage the children to start to tell their own version of the story using key words and phrases that you will see on their story maps.

When your child comes home with a story map please encourage them to retell the story as often as possible using the key vocabulary (above). We hope that they will begin to use these phrases to tell their own stories and then start to use them in their writing.
