Year 5: Welcome to the Summer Term 2022

Please find the Summer weekly timetable (Term 6) and homework expectations below. 

FOREST SCHOOL - has finished for this year, so Wednesdays will return to English and Maths

SPORTS DAY - Wednesday 7th July (PM), reserve date Wednesday 14th July (PM)

PE will be on a Wednesday (Athletics and/or Hockey mixed class games - outdoors) 

Please note there is a Hockey Tournament at Oxford Hawks Hockey Club on Wednesday 22nd June (in the school day).  Any children that would like to attend will be able to go.  A letter will come out after half term.

Those who have been participating in top up swimming classes during Term 5, will continue for the 1st 4 weeks after half term on a Tuesday morning.

DT: FOOD TECHNOLOGY - We will be doing some in class Junior Bake Off fun next term!  Children will be learning how to plan for baking and then participate in a paired Bake-Off challenge, which will be judged!  Some help with ingredients will be appreciated.  More information to follow.

Homework will commence on Wednesday 27th April.  Homework will be sent out on a Wednesday and should be returned the following Monday.  We will continue using spellingframe, ttrockstars and Duolingo; usernames and passwords are glued in the front of reading records, for easy reference.  

Reading records must be handed in every morning please. Children have the opportunity to select books from the school library, with some guidance from adults to ensure they are accessible and achievable.
