School Awards

What did our assessor have to say about our school?

"The school ethos of Ready, Respectful, Responsible is reflected throughout all aspects of the school. Throughout the assessment day the staff spoke about being ‘hugely passionate about nurture’."

"Understanding All Behaviour is Communication has been a key learning area for the school. There is a clear impact of this in the way that emotion coaching scripts are used by all staff, parents and the children. During the assessment day Sam Gillion, the Headteacher spoke about nurture work around teaching staff to ‘stop and pause – to understand the children’s triggers.’ She spoke about how staff now diffuse situations quickly and with empathy."

"The staff are especially effective at working with parents. The nurture team makes time to build relationships with parents and the parents were hugely appreciative of this."

"Seeing how our nurture group children have progressed, how they hold themselves, how they talk…. They are so proud of themselves. Wow!"

British Council International School Award success for Chalgrove School!

We have been awarded Intermediate level of the British Council’s prestigious International School Award in recognition of our work over the last year to bring the world into the classroom.  The International School Award celebrates the achievements of schools that do exceptional work in international education, fostering an international dimension in the curriculum is at the heart of the British Council’s work with schools, so that young people gain the cultural understanding and skills they need for life and work in today’s world.

The commitment to developing international work and sharing excellent classroom practice and resources is somethine we should be very proud of. This is enriching education for our pupils; and our excellent collaborative projects with partner schools overseas is bringing the world into our classrooms. International work is key support for the development of skills young people need to be the globally aware citizens of the future

We are thrilled to have received this accolade once again!
